Why my kitchen always looks like this, even when the dishes have been washed at least four times in the past two days:

How Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus can still be such a source of inspiration:

A cat's propensity for inconvenient resting places:
How things could possibly have gotten to the point where they required a sign, and if it was merely a cultural misunderstanding...or if something more interesting was going on:

What someone tried to keep in this library carrel:

Organized religious institutions, and oh yeah, God and religions in general:

Why I can't – and won't – resist the open road:

Porcupines:
(Look, it was a camera phone, and porcupines are large and pointy. Would YOU have gotten any closer? Yeah, I didn't think so.)

Another question might be, "why is there a bicycle in the kitchen?" I love the church picture and did you really see that porcupine in broad daylight? Very cool!
I posted the same comment twice because the internet around her is so mamanso.
My bike was getting cold, and it is also afraid of the dark. No, seriously, the gears weren't changing properly and I wanted to figure out why, but not outside in the frigid cold. Now it's just kind of chillin' in the kitchen. And yeah, the porcupine was hanging out at the rest stop part way up the mountains on the way to school. I stopped and hiked the little loop trail there back in the warmer weather, and there he was! It was a pretty cool encounter.
